My new apron

I have been so busy with life my sewing has taken a back step. I've done a bit of cross stitch but it takes soooooooo long. I've been working on the same piece since my honeymoon in 2010. It'll look lovely when its finished. I met up with Tanya to make some bloomers and was trying to be clever and scale them down to make nappy covers. Unfortunately they are too small and now fit one of the teddies.

I have made an apron. I'm really pleased with it. I used my sisters old shirt and a white sheet.  I'm hoping she doesn't want them back. I used the rolled hem foot(I'm unsure of the technical name) on the strings, I love it and when I was cooking yesterday I kept wiping my hands on my trousers to keep it clean.
 
I hope everyone has a great time at the FQR2013 I'm looking forward to reading all about it.

    Hello smiley you.... looking good in your apron (is it made with an army sheet by any chance?). I love it. Does the teddy look good in the bloomers? If you fancy a catch up together with the kids during the summer let me know x

    Great photo, and love your new apron! I think everyone had a fab time, but all of that socialising is exhausting
